Your ID wallet

A home for your identity

Dokus keeps your passport, ID card, driver's license and more in one wallet: in step across your iPhone, iPad and Mac, protected when you share a copy, and warning you before anything expires. Encrypted on your device, behind Face ID.

Why Dokus

On every device

Your wallet stays in step across every iPhone, iPad and Mac on your Apple Account, through your own iCloud. Nothing is trapped on one device.

Protected when you share

Stamp a copy with who it is for and when, so it cannot be quietly reused. Your original never changes.

Warns you before it expires

Give a document its validity date and Dokus reminds you in time to renew.

Your wallet

Everything in one place

Your passport, ID card and everything else you carry, together in one place. From health cards to visas, store any document and always have it at hand. When someone asks for a document, you know exactly where it is.

Share safely

Personalize every copy before you send it

Add a watermark with the recipient's name so every shared copy is uniquely identifiable, convert to PDF, or reduce file size. Your original document always stays unchanged.

Never caught out

Know before it expires

Give a document its validity date and Dokus keeps watch. The Expiring page lists what runs out soonest first, and a reminder arrives with the head start you choose, so renewing is something you plan instead of something you discover.

Everywhere you are

Your wallet, on iPhone, iPad and Mac

Dokus is a native app on all three, and turning on iCloud sync keeps the same wallet in step across them, free on every tier. Your documents stay encrypted in your Apple account, and turning off sync removes them from iCloud.

What people say

5 out of 5 stars

Super handy little app

My documents used to be all scattered through my gallery, I managed to organize them all. I personally like the watermark feature… I used it a lot while traveling, it makes sharing IDs much safer… it stamps a copy with the name of the company you are sharing with (say, an AirBnb or a car rental). It’s still a bit rough around the edges but it’s a new app and the dev seems to be working on it. Price is alright given it’s a one time payment.. one less subscription!

Common questions

Is Dokus free?

Yes. The free version is complete on its own: your documents, encrypted on your device, behind Face ID, the built-in scanner, and iCloud sync across your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Dokus Plus is an optional one-time purchase for people who want more, like unlimited documents and extra sharing tools.

Does Dokus warn me before a document expires?

Yes. Give a document its validity date and Dokus schedules reminders ahead of it, so you renew in time instead of finding out at the counter. The reminders are local to your device and are part of Dokus Plus.

Where are my documents stored?

On your device, encrypted, and kept out of its iCloud backup: with sync off, they exist only there. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are also stored in your personal iCloud, under your own Apple account. Dokus itself never receives, stores, or processes your documents.

Can Dokus see my documents?

No. There is no Dokus account, and we never receive, store, or process your documents, so there is nothing on our side for anyone to look at. Your documents stay encrypted on your device, and sync, if you enable it, runs entirely through your own iCloud.

What is Dokus Plus?

An optional one-time purchase: pay once, keep it forever. It adds unlimited documents, expiry dates with reminders, watermarked copies for safe sharing, image to PDF conversion, and file compression. The free version keeps working without it, and iCloud sync across your own devices is free for everyone.

Where do I get Dokus?

On the App Store, for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Tap Download on the App Store at the top of this page.

Which devices and languages does it support?

Dokus runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and unlocks with Face ID or Touch ID. On iPhone and iPad it is one tap from the Lock Screen and Control Center; on a Mac it is a real desktop app, with its own window, menus and keyboard shortcuts. It is available in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, and you can switch the language inside the app.
