Combine documents into one PDF by choosing the PDFs and photos, arranging the files and downloading the result. It is free, requires no account and processes your documents in your browser without uploading them.
Combine documents into one PDF
- Choose the files. Select Choose PDFs or photos and pick your existing PDF files and JPG, PNG or HEIC photos. Use Add files for anything you missed, or Try it with an example to open fictional sample documents first.
- Arrange the files. Each row shows a file and its page count. Drag the handle to put the files in the order you want; you can also focus the handle and use the arrow keys. Remove any unwanted file with its × button. Pages inside each PDF keep their original order.
- Download one PDF. Check the size above Combine and download PDF, then download the combined file. On an iPhone, look in Files > Downloads; the download location can depend on your browser settings.
Combine PDFs into one, with their text preserved
You might already have a license copy, a passport scan, a proof of address or a contract saved as separate PDFs. Choose only the copies you intend to send, check that the recipient needs them, and combine the relevant files here. Naming those documents is an example of what you can combine, rather than a requirement to provide all of them.
Existing PDF pages are copied into the result without turning them into photos. Text that was selectable remains selectable; a scan that started as an image stays an image. This tool rearranges whole files, without changing the page order inside any one PDF.
The last page carries a small credit line for the free tool at dokus.app. For an existing PDF page, a strip is added below the page; for a photo, the line sits in the bottom margin. Keep digitally signed originals separately: the combined PDF is a new file and does not preserve signature validation. A PDF that needs an opening password cannot be added.
Merge PDF and JPG files in the same document
Pick PDFs together with JPG, PNG or supported HEIC photos. Each photo fits entirely on a separate A4 page with a 12 mm margin. Existing PDF pages keep their own page sizes. The tool does not crop away the table around a photo or straighten a tilted card.
For one photo, or a license's front and back on the same sheet, start with ID to PDF. That tool prepares the card layout; you can then combine its PDF with the other files here. HEIC support depends on the browser. On an iPhone, choosing a photo from your library provides a JPG.
Free merging without uploading
Your browser reads the files you select and builds the PDF on your own device. The documents are not uploaded to a server. Once the page has loaded, you can turn off your connection and continue working.
You can combine up to 20 files, each up to 25 MB, with a 100 MB total. Download becomes available when you have at least two files. There is no ten-page truncation for an input PDF in this tool, but a very large document still depends on the memory available on your device.
If the recipient needs a smaller file or fewer details
Use Compress if the final PDF exceeds the recipient's size limit. That separate tool uses only the first ten PDF pages and turns them into images, so selectable text is lost. Check the page count and readability before sending, and make sure every required page is included.
If a copy contains details you do not need to share, prepare it with Hide details before combining it with other documents. That tool also creates image-based copies and processes up to ten PDF pages.
Common questions
How do I combine documents into one PDF for free?
Choose at least two PDFs or photos, arrange the file rows and select Combine and download PDF. You get one PDF in the listed order, free and without an account or document upload.
Can I merge two PDFs and keep selectable text?
Yes. Existing PDF pages keep the text they already contain. Choose the two files and move the file rows into the order you want. Scanned pages do not acquire selectable text, and digitally signed originals need to be kept separately.
Can I merge PDF and JPG files?
Yes. Select both types together. Each photo becomes a separate A4 page with margins; existing PDF pages keep their page sizes. For a single photo or both sides of an ID on one sheet, use the separate ID to PDF tool.
What are the file limits?
You can add up to 20 files, no more than 25 MB each and 100 MB in total. At least two files are needed to download a combined PDF. PDFs that require a password to open are not accepted.
How do I merge PDFs on an iPhone or another phone?
Open this page in your browser, choose PDFs from your file picker or photos from your library, and arrange the files before downloading. The PDF is created on the phone. Its download location follows your browser settings.
Are the documents uploaded or saved on a server?
No. Your browser reads your selected files and creates the result on your device. The downloaded PDF includes the free tool's credit line on the last page.
