Bermuda passport renewal: prepare the originals
For a Bermuda BOTC passport renewal, use the Bermuda Government’s renewal checklist and the form linked from it. The checklist calls for a single-sided application in black ink, photographs and the original supporting records applicable to your circumstances.
Prepare the official request
- Confirm that you need a Bermuda BOTC passport, rather than a separate British citizen passport service.
- Get the form from the official renewal page and read which sections apply to you.
- Prepare two compliant photographs and the required countersignature.
- Gather the original birth, registration and family records that the checklist identifies for your case.
- If you hold another country’s passport, check the colour-copy requirement and preserve the submission receipt.
Keep the right evidence
The checklist includes different requirements for children, parents, grandparents and legal guardians. A requirement marked applicable to one case is not a universal demand for every applicant. Check the exact circumstances before obtaining additional certificates.
Keep a list of the originals handed over and check them when returned. A phone photograph can help you refer to a record but cannot supply the original paper or countersignature that the office requires.
If a recipient accepts a personal working copy, you can prepare an accepted reference scan as a PDF. The result is an image-based PDF. It does not preserve selectable text, interactive fields or an original digital signature. Keep this output separate from any original, certified copy or unchanged official file required for submission.
