How to redact transactions from a rental bank statement
Consumer Protection's renting guidance says a payslip or bank statement can show income and describes covering statement entries the landlord does not need. This is a specific rental-evidence task: agree what proves your income before editing.

- With Blur selected, draw a box over each unrelated transaction description, payee or other agreed field.
- Keep the name, relevant period and required income evidence readable. Check totals, repeated account details and every page so the remaining figures still make sense.

The original remains your financial record
Keep the complete bank statement separately. This tool creates a sharing copy and does not alter your bank's original record. If a statement has more than ten pages, prepare the required page range before opening it here; only the first ten input PDF pages are used.
What the Blur boxes do
The export replaces the selected pixels with a paper-like texture. It does not leave a removable overlay with the original transaction underneath. Anything outside a box, including repeated information elsewhere, remains visible. Cover only the information you intend to omit and inspect the saved file.
Finish the tenancy evidence
If the redacted statement is too large for the agency's attachment ceiling, compress the saved copy. For the separate identity attachment, put a licence or passport in PDF and, when appropriate, label it for the property manager. Do not use a watermark to conceal a transaction.
Files, privacy and originals
Open JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten PDF pages are used; prepare the required page range before opening a longer file. HEIC availability depends on your browser. Processing stays on your device, with no document upload or account, and camera metadata is removed from the copy.
The exported PDF contains images of its pages. Selectable text, digital signatures and interactive fields are not preserved. Keep the complete original separately and inspect the saved copy before sending.

Can I hide transactions on a bank statement for a rental application?
Consumer Protection describes covering entries the landlord does not need. Agree which income evidence must stay visible, then inspect the saved result.
Should I hide income or balances as well?
Keep the information needed for the stated financial check. Do not change amounts or leave a misleading picture of the evidence.
Can the recipient remove the redaction boxes?
The selected pixels are replaced in the exported image. Check other pages, summaries and repeated fields for information outside your boxes.
Does blurring a transaction remove it from the saved copy?
The control called Blur replaces the selected transaction pixels with paper-like texture. It does not merely soften the original text or draw a removable box. Keep the original statement and the required income evidence intact.
