Cayman temporary-permit PDFs and records-request ID tools
Prepare a passport or police-record reference scan, or merge the copies a recipient requests into one PDF. Keep original evidence required for a WORC temporary permit, and make altered records-request copies only when agreed. These free tools do not upload documents.
- Watermark records-request IDLabel an accepted identity reference copy for the department and specific personal-information request.
- Smaller permit scansReduce the temporary-permit passport attachment or an agreed police-record reference scan for your employer.
- Temporary-permit PDFPrepare the passport attachment or a separate police-record reference scan for a WORC temporary permit.
- Redact records-request IDCover only the ID fields CSD or WORC agrees are unnecessary for identifying your records request.
- Merge PDFsCombine requested reference PDFs and photos in file order, free and without a document upload.
Start with the recipient’s actual request
Start with WORC’s T1 checklist for temporary-permit evidence. Use a passport copy for the requested identity attachment, retaining any required original certificates. The watermark and redaction workflows instead address agreed identity evidence for personal-records requests.
Choose the attachment task
| What you need | Free tool | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| A temporary-permit passport attachment or police-record reference PDF | Temporary-permit PDF | Required original certificates remain separate |
| Several PDF or photo reference files the recipient wants together | Merge PDF documents | One combined reference copy is requested; required originals remain separate |
| A smaller temporary-permit reference scan | Smaller permit scans | The current employer or submission-channel ceiling |
| A copy naming CSD or WORC and the request | Records-request watermark | An altered reference copy is agreed |
| A copy with agreed extra details hidden | Records-request redaction | All necessary identity fields and repeated codes |
Temporary permits and personal-records requests are separate tasks
WORC’s T1 checklist names a passport bio-data copy and an original signed and sealed police-clearance certificate. A PDF reference image does not replace that original. Keep all required application evidence complete and separate.
CSD’s subject access and WORC’s personal-information request guidance also name passport or licence identity copies. Those are the contexts for the optional watermark and redaction pages. Ask the receiving office what identity evidence it needs and whether an altered reference copy is accepted.
The Cayman Islands Ombudsman’s data-minimisation guidance supports asking which details are necessary. It does not establish that a particular office accepts a marked or redacted copy.
Letter is the starting layout. The licence preset uses full-page layout rather than asserting a card size, and the 1 MB compression default is not a WORC-wide limit. These tools do not submit an application, retrieve records or provide certification.
Conversion and editing make image copies
Photo to PDF, Compress, Watermark and Hide details accept JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. These four tools process only the first ten pages of an input PDF and download JPG or an image-based PDF. Selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.
Merge keeps existing PDF text and all input pages
Merge PDF documents joins 2 to 20 files, up to 25 MB each and 100 MB in total. Every input PDF page is included within those limits and available device memory, with existing selectable text retained. Photos become separate Letter pages with margins. Reorder whole files; each PDF's internal page order stays unchanged.
The final page carries the free tool's credit. The new PDF does not preserve digital-signature validation, and PDFs needing an opening password cannot be added. Merging does not apply a smaller file-size target or certify a police record.
Files stay in your browser
The tools process selected documents in your browser without an account or document upload, leaving the source files unchanged. The four image-editing tools remove camera metadata from their downloaded copies.
Use Photo to PDF for a card layout, Merge for a requested combined reference file, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the complete file, particularly before passing more than ten merged pages into an editing tool.
Common questions
Can a police-record PDF replace WORC’s original certificate?
No. The temporary-permit checklist requires an original signed and sealed police-clearance certificate. Keep it for filing; use an image scan only for an agreed reference review.
Should I combine my utility bill and passport here?
Keep them separate unless the office requests one combined reference file. Merge can join separate PDFs and photos; Photo to PDF prepares one document and its reverse. Neither operation certifies a copy or replaces an original required for filing.
What input files can I use?
The four conversion and editing tools accept JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB and process only the first ten PDF pages into images. Merge accepts 2 to 20 PDFs or photos, up to 25 MB each and 100 MB total, and includes every input PDF page while keeping existing selectable text. Keep signed originals separately.
